One of a pair of Brant geese we saw at Boundary Bay Regional Park today. Wintry conditions and sub-zero temperatures froze much of the bay and made footing iffy for these small geese ... more than once they would slip (like me at the ice rink). This particular spot gave these vegetarians access to a copious amount of food, though! Photographed on December 14, 2016.
