# Our content source

Most of the products you see advertised here are found primarily on [Zazzle's website](https://zazzle.com/). You can report any violations to us but it would be largely redundant.

To let Zazzle know of an infringement, click the "Shop at Zazzle" button on any product page:

That takes you to Zazzle's website. Down near the bottom of that product detail page you will find a "Report this design" link:

You'll get a chance to explain your claim:

You can still contact us as well. We can at least hide an offending product here if you provide reasonable evidence of your property. But we do not communicate with Zazzle on your behalf. If you work with Zazzle to protect your IP rights then this site will most likely reflect changes in Zazzle not long afterward.

How to report copyright and trademark violations

Joining the ranks of notable trademarked terms like "Baby on Board", "Bananas", "Very Peri", "Smiley Face", "Save the Earth" and "May the Fourth Be With You" (to name a few) is "Shabby Chic."

That means that you can't use "Shabby Chic" as a tag on your products (I think I just heard a collective groan of disappointment). If your products haven't already been deleted by the Zazzle Content Management Team, change all instances of "Shabby Chic" in products that use the term as a tag, title, or part of the description. Or batch hide them all first and then update them at a less frenetic pace.

It's always a good idea to check with the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office. Hopefully, this will save you a lot of pre-design grief (post-design grief is a different matter). https://tmsearch.uspto.gov/search/search-information

One would think the USTPO is the final authority on such matters. But I'm pretty sure that there are plenty of gray areas. I don't think Pantone has trademarked every one of its color names (I'm still ticked off at them for "Mediterranean Blue" and "Ocean Blue". You'll excuse the pun if I say that those color names don't hold a lot of water with me. I think that travel agencies would agree with me, too).

Sounds like the Zazzle LIVE design service has been (very quietly) discontinued. Alas, poor Yorick, we knew ye well ...

An unfortunate nixing for those Zazzlers who often referred customers there for custom design work that they were not able to do themselves (because cloning of humans ex vitro hasn't been invented, patented, and argued from an ethical standpoint).

This is a concerning development for those of us Zazzlers who sell digital downloads. At first blush, by removing the mockup that shows a hand holding up a phone with an e-vite on the phone screen, superimposed over the invitation design, customers may be left wondering if digital downloads are now no longer available.

Actually, digital downloads are still available and accessible; on the "Choose Your Format" drop-down list of choices (located on the right of the image in the individual product pages), select the option "Instant Download" or "Prints + Instant Download".

# Upgrade to Premium [#to-premium]

I'll assume you've already [created your agency](/article/how-to-create-and-manage-your-agency), [evaluated your options](/article/subscribing-for-premium-agency-features), and decided to upgrade. Make your way to your [agency management page](/article/how-to-create-and-manage-your-agency#returning-here). Switch to the "Billing / subscription" tab:

We use the [Stripe](https://stripe.com/) payment service. We do not handle credit cards or other sensitive financial information directly.

Click the "Subscribe via Stripe" button. You'll leave this site and go to Stripe's:

Once you have paid you should return to your Billing tab, now showing your subscription status:

From here you can cancel your subscription at any time to downgrade to Basic again.


# Downgrade to Basic [#to-basic]

Make your way to your agency's "Billing / subscription" tab as before. Click the "Cancel my subscription". You'll see this prompt:

Your Billing / subscription tab should now indicate that you cancelled your subscription. You should still have some time remaining. It will show you about when the cancellation will take effect, returning your agency to Basic status.

# Getting started [#getting-started]

Once you have created a user account you can start creating stores. But first you must create a [design agency](/article/what-is-an-agency). Your agency allows you to separate your personality from your Zazzle business venture. And it enables you to [add other users as agents](/article/how-to-add-agents-to-your-agency) to your agency to work for or with you.

To create an agency, make your way to your "My account" page from the navigation menu:

Once there click the "New agency" button on the toolbar:

The New agency page is very minimal. You need a unique name and a [unique code](/article/about-mnemonic-codes-for-things) for your agency.

The form will let you know if you've chosen a name or code that is already in use by you or some other designer.

# Editing your agency's settings [#edit-settings]

Once your agency is created you can now manage it. You'll want to edit the basic settings:

I recommend clicking the "Disable" button on the toolbar to [hide your agency](/article/disabling-stores-products-collections-etc) for now while you set up. Then click "Enable" when you're ready to make it visible to the public again.

Be sure to put your Zazzle Member ID (aka "Associate ID") in the text box marked for it. If you're unsure how to, visit your own Zazzle personal home page. (Not any of your stores.) Grab the URL:

Paste the whole URL into the textbox. Tab or click away. There's your member ID.

Note that your store's description can be rich text. Learn more about [how to format markdown text](/article/markdown-text).

Be sure to click "Save" when you're done making changes.


# Agency profile images [#profile-images]

This is just below the Basic settings section of the page:

You should upload a main image and a banner image. The web banner is optional but good if you want finer control over how your agency will look on a mobile device. Here's what these images typically look like on your agency home page:

Your main image is also used as a thumbnail in searches and other places:

# Adding stores [#add-stores]

This is below the Images section:

To start or continue adding your stores, click the "Add" button on the toolbar under the "Stores" heading. Read more about [creating your stores](/article/how-to-create-a-new-store) on this site.

# Returning to this page later [#returning-here]

One easy way to manage your agency is by going to your "My account" page again. Your own agency and any that you are an agent of will be listed here. Look for the "Manage" button right under the header for that agency.
