Taken from about 30 feet away was the first Rufous hummingbird that I've managed to photograph in our backyard with any degree of clarity. Little White Booties herself was having a contemplative moment on the yet-to-bloom Scarlet Trumpetvine--much to the chagrin of the male Anna's hummingbird who previously owned the backyard.
