This image is from the public domain with no known restrictions on publication. SUMMARY:  Japanese triptych print shows circus at Yasukuni Jinja, originally called Shokonsha, Tokyo, Japan, with acrobats, trapeze artists, and horseback stunt riders. MEDIUM:  1 print on hōsho paper (3 sheets) : woodcut, color ; each block 35.5 x 24.3 cm., each sheet 36 x 24.3 cm. CREATED/PUBLISHED:  Japan : Masadaya, 1871.

This is what the original poster produced by the British government in 1939 looks like.  Keep Calm and Carry On was a poster made during the beginning of World War II, to raise the morale of the British public in the case of invasion. It was never used during the war and an original poster was rediscoved in a book store in 2000.
