Usually the Sooty Fox Sparrows I encounter in my backyard aren't the types to pop themselves up on a blackberry branch, woo my camera lens, and practically ask for attention and food, while sporting an attitude much bigger than themselves (and they are pretty big sparrows, too) ... but that's what this Lost Lagoon inhabitant was doing on a chilly late November 2015 afternoon at Stanley Park.
