WWN Mystique of the Great Blue Heron

Just two feet away from me on a log, and surrounded by Wood Ducks, Mallards, Lesser Scaups, and American Coots was this Great Blue Heron, trying to catch a few winks in the sun. Blue Herons are one of the most commonly seen and distinctive birds in Metro Vancouver, frequenting marshes as well as ditches by freeways and highways.
