Vintage May Cuckoo with Modern Art Poster

This Japanese print goes back to the 1700s by Isoda, Koryusai, Ukiyoe. In PD, this vintage art has been face lifted with a modern look of mosaic tiles. The cuckoo birds have many different species. The gray European Common Cuckoo is the bird that we associate with most. But these birds come in other colors and the cuckoo is a common name for members of the extensive avian family Cuculidae. Of the ground cuckoos, the roadrunner, or chaparral bird, of the southwest deserts is best known.
