The data are... It sounds wrong, but it's right. It's plural; one is a datum. (Unless you're talking about "information"; then it's OK.) ANYWAY, here it is in a plain manuscript typeface that any research scientist would appreciate: a funny, tongue-twisting way of saying, spell it right!
