Marble fountain of Neptune, with dolphins, nymphs and seashells sits amid the trees and stares into the park beyond. Carrara marble figure is a copy of the original bronze sculpture that was created by Flemish artist Giambologna, who was based in Italy. The 100 year old statue was brought from Venice Italy and was dedicated with great fanfare on Feb. 16, 1930. In 1969 a replica statue replaced the original damaged artwork.
