It's that time again, chick time.  This is one of the chicks recently hatched out during a photo session.  I added an oil paint effect to the photo.  I love taking photos of the chicks and chickens in general.  I don't force them to do anything.  I just set up a scene and take photos as the chick does whatever.  Here it is sitting on the edge of the teacup.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed taking it.  I love raising chickens and photography.

Vintage Christmas Turtle Holiday Card

This is what I would call a happy accident.  I was trying ttv through a Kodak Brownie Bullet camera.  The viewfinder in a Brownie Bullet is so small that it is near impossible to do ttv photography with.  I normally use a Kodak Brownie Reflex with its larger viewfinder when taking ttv photos but I wanted to experiment.  I like what happened with this so instead of trashing it I kept it as a happy accident.

This is Boots.  She was one of the first chickens I ever hatched out in an incubator when I got started in raising chickens.  Boots was born in May of 2008.  She just started laying green eggs so I will have little baby Boots chicks this spring:)  Boots is an Easter Egg Chicken, which is a fancy name for a mutt that lays colored eggs.  I love her so much!
