The Bear Flag is the official flag of the state of California. The precursor of the flag was first flown during the 1846 Bear Flag Revolt and was also known as the Bear Flag. The bear on the current flag of California was modeled on the last wild Californian grizzly bear in captivity. The bear, named "Monarch", was captured in 1889 by newspaper reporter Allen Kelley, at the behest of William Randolph Hearst. The bear was subsequently moved to Woodwards Gardens in San Francisco, and then to the zoo at Golden Gate Park. After the bear's death in 1911, it was mounted and preserved at the Academy of Sciences at Golden Gate Park.

We took photographs of the waterfalls sightseeing when we decided to take a Wisconsin and Michigan loop trip. The state park has a nice campsite and is the second largest of Michigan's state parks. The Tahquamenon Falls include a single 50-foot (15-meter) drop, the Upper Falls, and the cascades and rapids collectively called the Lower Falls. The Upper Falls is one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi.

Akutan Island is an island in the Fox Islands group of the eastern Aleutian Islands in the U.S. state of Alaska. The island is approximately 18 mi (30 km) in length. It contains the Mount Akutan volcano, which had a major lava eruption in 1979. Kansas Map and Photos T-Shirt

The Massachusetts State flag, adopted on July 3, 1971, features a white background with a blue shield in the center. The shield depicts a Native American holding a bow and arrow, symbolizing peace.
