Hi, I’m Maggie—the creator behind Folkesdotter Designs (often with a coffee cup in hand).

Creativity has always been part of who I am—my constant companion. I’ve loved expressing it hands-on through a variety of crafts and materials, from woodworking and fiber arts to upcycling and repurposing old items into something new and meaningful. (Fun fact: I even have a foundational education in both carpentry and cooking—two wonderfully creative fields.)

Health challenges eventually meant stepping away from the physically demanding work of being a chef, as well as most of the hands-on crafts I once loved. But creativity doesn’t stop—it simply evolves. These days (at least on the good days), I channel my ideas into digital design, blending retro inspiration, seasonal themes, and feel-good patterns into products I share on print-on-demand platforms like Zazzle.

I’m deeply grateful to still be creating and to connect with others through my designs.

Fun fact: “Folkesdotter” means “daughter of Folke” in Swedish—a tribute to my heritage and my passion for Swedish genealogy. As a part-time researcher, I get to play detective, diving into the past and uncovering family histories.
