For those that suffer from hemiplegic migraines, this is a rare condition that can look like a stroke affecting one side of the body. This image represents one side of the brain being affected. Hopefully it will bring some awareness to the condition.

If you have unilateral hearing loss, that is single sided deafness, you, like me, may find it is very annoying that nobody, even the people you see every day, can't remember what ear you are deaf in. I may myself a deaf left ear pin badge, and found it very useful, it also strikes up conversations and maybe a bit more understanding about how my single-sided deafness effects me. Since then I have made a few designs of this badge, plus of course a deaf right ear badge, if it is that side that affects you.

Out of Spoons, for those who have no energy left. This relates to the spoon theory.

The spoon theory helps people understand how chronic illness, chronic pain, and disability can be an impact on a person’s capacity to perform everyday tasks, engage in work and social life, and meet longer-term goals. 

The spoon theory is that those people who live with  a chronic illness, chronic pain, or have a disability have limited amounts of energy, and this energy is represented by spoons, so that they only have a limited number of spoons to spend on completing tasks on any given day. This results in these people who live with chronic health conditions having to make many difficult on how they are to spend their limited resources of energy.

Also each day it may take a different number of spoons to complete a given as energy levels can vary considerably from day to day also. Planning for future events can be very challenging when you're unsure of how many spoons you may have at that future date.

Hopefully some spoon merchandize will get people talking and understanding a little better those living with chronic illnesses.
