The typical dachshund is long-bodied and muscular, with short and stubby legs. Its paws are unusually large and paddle-shaped, for efficient digging. It has skin that is loose enough not to tear while tunneling in tight burrows to chase prey. The dachshund has a deep chest to allow enough lung capacity to keep going when hunting. Its snout is long with an increased nose area that absorbs odors. There are three types, classified by their coats: shorthaired, called "smooth"; longhaired; and wire-haired. Sugar gliders are from the marsupial family. They have the ability to glide through the air, much like a flying squirrel. a native of Australia and becoming a popular family pet. This was Zoopy (now Marvin), a young joey. He now lives with a new family and is a very content sugar glider.

This Japanese print goes back to the 1700s by Isoda, Koryusai, Ukiyoe. In PD, this vintage art has been face lifted with a modern look of mosaic tiles. The cuckoo birds have many different species. The gray European Common Cuckoo is the bird that we associate with most. But these birds come in other colors and the cuckoo is a common name for members of the extensive avian family Cuculidae.  Of the ground cuckoos, the roadrunner, or chaparral  bird, of the southwest deserts is best known.
