Quick help
The Ohio state flag has a burgee shape. It consists of three red and two white horizontal stripes representing the main roads and waterways of the state. The union of the flag has a blue triangular field with a white circle in the center. There are seventeen white five-pointed stars arranged around the circle. The base of the staff end or vertical edge of the flag is the center of the middle red stripe and a blue triangle behind it. The thirteen stars surrounding the circle represent the original thirteen states of the United States. The four stars at the end of the triangle symbolize that Ohio was the seventeenth state to join the union. The white circular "O" in the center of the blue circle represents the "O" in "Ohio" and also the Buckeye State, which is the nickname for Ohio. The official government flag angled cut.
