The Bear Flag is the official flag of the state of California. The precursor of the flag was first flown during the 1846 Bear Flag Revolt and was also known as the Bear Flag. The bear on the current flag of California was modeled on the last wild Californian grizzly bear in captivity. The bear, named "Monarch", was captured in 1889 by newspaper reporter Allen Kelley, at the behest of William Randolph Hearst. The bear was subsequently moved to Woodwards Gardens in San Francisco, and then to the zoo at Golden Gate Park. After the bear's death in 1911, it was mounted and preserved at the Academy of Sciences at Golden Gate Park.

Hoover Dam, once known as Boulder Dam, is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the US states of Arizona and Nevada. It was constructed between 1931 and 1936 during the Great Depression and was dedicated on September 30, 1935, by President Franklin Roosevelt.

The flag of the state of Idaho consists of the state seal on a field of blue. The words “State of Idaho” appear in gold letters on a red and gold band below the seal. According to the official description of the flag, there should also be a fringe of gold around the edges, but a long time ago the versions of the flag were not shown until they were remodeled the flag after War. Lower Tahquamenon Falls State Park, Michigan Special Birthday Card. Easy to customize with your message. We took photographs of the waterfalls sightseeing when we decided to take a Wisconsin and Michigan loop trip. The state park has a nice campsite and is the second largest of Michigan's state parks. The Tahquamenon Falls include a single 50-foot (15-meter) drop, the Upper Falls, and the cascades and rapids collectively called the Lower Falls. The Upper Falls is one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi.
