Eleanor Roosevelt White House portrait Card. Following her husband's death, Eleanor remained active in politics for the rest of her life. She pressed the US to join and support the United Nations and became one of its first delegates. She served as the first chair of the UN Commission on Human Rights and oversaw the drafting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Customer Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was thrilled to find your website with the ability to order cards of the First Ladies. Eleanor Roosevelt's is my favorite as this card depicts the many ways she was a superior first lady. I am a knitter so this is the only one that shows knitting though many of the women did knit. A wonderful voyage through history for me. Thank you so much. My son was in the White House the first time at 2 weeks old. It is a wonderful "Peoples House". 5 ***** from me. Anne Poe
