Iconic Taj Mahal Houseboat in Sausalito California Zippo Lighter

This Zippo lighter features a vintage-poster–style illustration of Sausalito’s “Taj Mahal” houseboat. A richly hued wooden dock runs from the bottom center up to the ornate, ivory-colored façade of the houseboat—complete with central arched entrance and twin onion-domed turrets. On either side of the dock, sailboats bob gently at their slips, their masts and rigging framing the scene. Above the houseboat, in flowing retro script, are the words “Taj Mahal Houseboat” with “Sausalito” beneath. Along the bottom edge, crisp white coordinates (“37° 51′ 36″ N, 122° 28′ 55″ W”) ground the design in place.
