Quick help
This tote bag carries a reproduction of the 1808 sketch Cat Drawing 19 by Jean Bernard Duvivier. Duvivier was a French artist who was known for his realistic and detailed sketches of animals.
This particular sketch, a favorite of mine, depicts a seated cat. The artist has captured the cat's fur, its expression, and its stance with great accuracy. The title of the sketch and the name of the famous French artist is set in black font below the graphic.
The original 1808 sketch hangs in the Rijksmueseum, located in Amsterdam. There, the piece of artwork is titled "Liggende kat, schuin van voren" which translates to Reclining cat, oblique from the front.
The design is carried on both sides of the tote. Cat lover's will enjoy using it and it is sure to be the one they grab for art class or everyday errands.
