A new feminist battle cry, "nevertheless, she persisted" was created when Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stated that Senator Elizabeth Warren had broken a senate rule as she read a letter in opposition to the nomination of Jeff Sessions. Jeff Sessions was nominated to be the Attorney General of the United States the following day.
