This is a Silver Laced Cochin chick.  He or she is so pretty and is going to be huge when full grown.  It is such a sweet little chick and didn't seem to mind at all about having its photo taken in a little studio setting.  It just sat there looking pretty for me :)  I never force a chick to do something it doesn't want to do to get these photos.

This vintage Easter postcard was sent from Chicago, IL USA to Berlin, Germany in 1912.  Sometime since then the postcard found its way back to the USA and I found it at an antique show at a vendor dealing in vintage postcards.  I love to collect vintage postcards.

It was published by The Saalfield Publishing Company Chicago *Akron, Ohio * New York in 1915 which therefor makes it in the public domain.  I bought the book just for this image that I really like.  Be on the lookout in the future for more images from the book.

Most people can't believe just how sweet they are because they think Muscovy ducks are wild and crazy but my Muscovy are more like dogs that follow me around and let me pick them up and hold them.  This photo is as is with no editing work done to it.
