This is an image from a 1905 edition of Black Beauty. It is "An Adaption for the Little Folks of ANNA SEWELL'S Autobiography of a Horse" by Edgar Lee. Illustrated by Harry Lambright Miller. And Published in 1905 by The Sallfield Publishing Company of Akron, Ohio with offices also in Chicago and New York.

This is my Phoenix rooster.  It is a rare breed and he is a rare color of the rare breed.  Most of them are Silver Phoenix and he is a Red Phoenix.

This is the front cover from the book "Easy To Read" Copyright, 1882. D. Lothrop & Co. Boston Mass. I think it is very cute. I hope you enjoy it also. The book is over 100 years old so all the pages have that perfect patina to them. Some pages have stains as you can see in the corner of this image but that only adds to the character and charm. I love really old books.
