The flower is 

  I have played with it and added texture to it.  I thought it was a very beautiful flower but unless I traveled a long ways I can't take a photo of a cactus flower like this so I found it in creative commons and added to it.

Hope is a German Shepherd mix.  Her mother was a purebred imported German Shepherd but the people who gave her to me do not know who her father was.  She was an accident.  She herself is spayed.  She is a great girl and loves to go on walks. Photography by Angelandspot Jan. 2008
