This is Boots.  She was one of the first chickens I ever hatched out in an incubator when I got started in raising chickens.  Boots was born in May of 2008.  She just started laying green eggs so I will have little baby Boots chicks this spring:)  Boots is an Easter Egg Chicken, which is a fancy name for a mutt that lays colored eggs.  I love her so much! My one  year old pet hen named Boots.  I got her from an Araucana breeder that also had Cochin chickens.  One of the Cochin roosters accidentally got in with the Araucana hens so Boots has features of both breeds.  She is one of my sweetest hens always near me and loves to be held.
