This is one of the works of art displayed in the May 1895 issue of Harper's New Monthly Magazine.  It is Prince Balthasar on Horseback by the artist Velazquez and underneath it says, "From a photograph by the successor to Laurent, Madrid.  It was in an article about The Museum of the Prado.

This is little Annie.  She was one of the first chicks I ever hatched out in the incubator.  Her mother was the first hen I ever owned, Belle, and the first rooster I ever owned, Rowdy.  Annie is such a sweetheart.  She likes to follow me around the barn as I am doing chores and sometimes even sits on my shoulder pretending to be a parrot as I do my chores.
