A Praying Mantis was sitting on the glass in front of a sign with a calendar on it at a grocery store I stopped at the other day.  I had my camera with me and snapped a few photos before going shopping.  Photography by Angelandspot in August of 2011.  You could you this as a don't forget the date card.  Feel free to customize.

This is one of my Blue mixed breed hens chicks.  This one is feathering out black with brown markings.  I think it is very pretty.  The sire of the chick is unknown as I had all my chickens running together for added warmth over the winter.  Whatever it is is is a mixed breed anyways since the mother was a mixed breed.  I don't care.  I love all my chickens purebred and mixed. :)
